Midsection is a peep box. Unlike those of the 18th century, which showed distant scenes of nature or cities, this peep box is a peek inside, beneath the surface. It is a look into a complex search of identity. Focal point of it is the center of the body: the pregnant belly. The viewers approach the object up to the point of touch. Through an apparently voyeuristic act they can look inside. Here one sees three proposals for an identity with a middle.
